Golo Mori Sunset Run 2025 Successfully Held, Showcasing Labuan Bajo’s Sunset Charm and Strengthening Sport Tourism in NTT

Labuan Bajo, September 21, 2025 – The inaugural Golo Mori Sunset Run 2025 has officially marked its place as one of the most scenic running events in Eastern Indonesia, attracting 1,282 registered participants. Held on Saturday (20/09), the event highlighted the synergy between sport tourism, the enchanting beauty of Labuan Bajo’s sunset, and the spirit of togetherness in The Golo Mori, West Manggarai.

Participants from a wide range of backgrounds—including students, local communities, professional runners, and international visitors—enjoyed a race experience framed by coastal hills and golden skies. Beyond fitness, the event also promoted Labuan Bajo as a world-class tourism destination.

Plt. President Director of BPOLBF, Dwi Marhen Yono, reaffirmed the importance of sport tourism for sustainable regional development:

“Sport tourism is a powerful driver of local economic growth. Golo Mori Sunset Run 2025 demonstrates how tourism can be integrated with healthy living, community engagement, and the promotion of natural beauty. Deputy Regent of West Manggarai, dr. Yulianus Weng, M.Kes, also conveyed strong support for the initiative:

The committee ensured that participants enjoyed a safe and memorable experience through finisher medals, exclusive race t-shirts, refreshments, entertainment, and exciting door prizes. Collaboration with sponsors, local authorities, and community groups played a crucial role in delivering an event that was well-organized, festive, and impactful.
